I have been recording bird songs since I was in fourth grade, when I used to wake up before my family to make recordings of the dawn chorus. Not much has changed since then, although I have been fortunate enough to learn from some very smart and experienced people in Portland, Seattle, Paris, and Berkeley. I get to spend most of my time in lab doing surgeries and tinkering with new technologies and ideas.
